Medical Musings, Health Hypotheses & Therapeutic Thoughts
About 20% of the Australian population experience some form of mental disorder each year, and nearly half (45%) of us will experience a mental disorder at some stage in our lifetime. Although organisations like Beyond Blue, SANE, ADAVic and ARCVic have gone a long way towards increasing public education on mental health and reducing the stigma associated with mental illness, we often keep these experiences to ourselves.
TED has a playlist of 8 videos titled "The struggle of mental health". These online videos are from speakers who share their experience in mental illness. To access the playlist, click here. We hope that you find them of interest, and perhaps may even take some comfort to know that you are not alone :) Leave a Reply. |
